Ballycarney Fisheries consists of 4 beats in the lower River Slaney system. These 4 beats are Moyeady, Monfin, Glass Door and Ballycarney Bridge.
For Ballycarney Fisheries, day permits are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The remainder of the week is reserved for yearly members.
Failure to comply with the rules outlined below will result in day tickets being terminated.
Anglers must possess a state salmon license before fishing.
Co-operation and respect must be shown at all times to the Water Keepers, Fishery Manager, Office Manager, IFI staff and fellow anglers. Farmers' property and the environment must also be fully respected.
Management does not accept responsibility for losses or injuries while fishing.
Allocations of beats will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Anglers will have the option to fish on a selected beat for a day, or to fish on two beats for 2 half day sessions (Morning and Afternoon). However this may not always be possible depending on the amount of anglers wishing to fish at one given time. This may be restricted to one beat only to ensure more anglers have the opportunity to fish.
Salmon fishing is by Catch and Release only, catches of salmon must be reported to the fishery manager to keep a running record of fish caught for the season.
